Doctor John F. Ricciani

Doctor John F. Ricciani

Dr. John F. Ricciani was born in Trenton, Dr. Ricciani earned
his AB degree in biology from Seton Hall University and his
DMD from the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry,
where he received departmental honors in Crown and Bridge
and Restorative Dentistry. He then entered the U.S. Navy,
where he was assistant dental officer for the base
administrative command at Great Lakes Training Center,
retiring as a lieutenant commander from the Naval Reserve
in 1982. Returning to Trenton to begin his private practice,
Jack soon became involved with his dental society and
community. He was president of the Mercer Dental Society
and a member of the board of trustees of the Delta Dental
Insurance Plan. He was chairman of credentials for the New
Jersey Dental Association's House of Delegates, a fourth
degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the
Fermi Federation, and past vice president of the Roman
Society. He was on the courtesy medical staff of St.
Francis Medical Center, Trenton, and Robert Wood Johnson
University Hospital at Hamilton Square.Dr. Ricciani was
a regent and fellow of the International College of
Dentists and a fellow of the American College of Dentists,
the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Academy of General
Dentistry. He was former general chairman and vice-chairman
of the New Jersey Dental Association's annual convention
and a member of the Annual Sessions Council. He was on
faculty at the University of Medicine and Dentistry-New
Jersey Dental School, where he was clinical associate
professor of restorative dentistry and community health,
director of patient resources for the Office of Clinical
Affairs and course director for practice management and
patient care and management. In 1999, Dr. Ricciani was
appointed to the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry by
Governor Whitman, serving as its president from 2003 to
2004, and again in 2010. He was also an examiner for the
Northeast Regional Board of Dental Examiners.

Jack was also a graduate of Trenton Catholic class of 1962.
