Hi Ralph:)
I love the Burg nicknames like
Storky. I notice that your brothers real first name was Joseph but was called Chuck. Was Charles his middle name or was he called Chuck for another reason?
And did you have a nickname?
All the best
Mack:)

HI MAC...MY NICK NAME WAS "LUKE", WHICH WAS SHORT FOR LUCARELLA. MY BROTHER'S NICK NAME "CHUCK" WAS SHORT FOR "CHUCHANIL" WHICH WAS AN ITALIAN NICK NAME FOR BABY BOYS. THE BURG WAS FULL OF NICK NAMES AMONG THE GUYS. WE HAD "KELLY" PALUMBO,"EARS" MERLINO, "GOO GOO" RADICE, AND MANY OTHERS. SOME GUYS DID'NT LIKE THEIR NICK NAMES, LIKE GEORGE "SHORTY" NEMCHICK, I ALWAYS CALLKED HIM GEORGE. HE WAS MY IDOL AMONG THE LOCAL GUYS, BEING NAMED ON THE U.S.A. OLYMPIC TEAM IN SOCCER AND GREAT IN OTHER SPORTS. BEST REGARDS.
