Immaculate Conception Church, A Parking Lot View, The Burg

Immaculate Conception Church, A Parking Lot View, The Burg
Our family church most of my Burg days. We most often
attended 6 O'clock Mass on Sunday and often would go to
Cumberland Farms on Chambers Street and then back home to
Liberty Street where the west coast NFL games were coming
to exciting ends on TV. This may be why I became an
Oakland Raider fan in the early 1970s...so many games were
the raiders coming back to win. Yes I played football and
baseball in Immaculate parking lot a few times. It was a
Burg tradition lol and it was lit at night. Can we ever
have enough pictures of Immaculate ? No:)

Back in the day, the Trenton Catholic A building was where the parking lot is now. All the secular priests used to live in that old, dilapidated building, while the parish priests lived in splendor in the rectory. I managed to get one of the crucifixes out of the building when dad had Trenton Tech in the old Trenton Catholic building. Shortly after, they tore the building down to make a parking lot. Wow, that sounds like it would make a good song title.
