A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

HI MAC...I CAN REMEMBER SWAN ST. WHEN THERE WAS NOTHING MORE THAN THE ICE HOUSE AND THE STREET WAS PAVED IN BRICKS. THAT PHOTO LOOKS LIKE AN APT BUILDING. THERE WAS A GAS STATION ON THE CORNER AND I THINK THE AGABITI'S HAD A HOUSE ON THE CORNER OF CHESTNUT. THIS WAS IN THE 1920'S AND 30'S AND IT SEEMS LIKE ONLY YESTERDAY. BEST REGARDS.
Before you went to Washingtons Crossing for a picnic, you stopped at the ice house and filled up your cooler. Had to bring your own ice pick, the one they gave you to use was always rusty. Great memories.
