Franklin School, Rear View, The Burg.
The rear of Franklin looks similar to the front but for
the Fire Escapes on the side which are slightly different.
There is a little building in the back lot now that was
never there before. So Today's kids cannot use this for
Kickball like we did in days long ago.
We played kickball with a brown heavy rubber ball
as I remember:)

HI MAC....FRANKLIN WAS MY SCHOOL AT NIGHT. I CAN RECALL THE NIGHTS I SPENT WATCHING BASKETBALL INN THEIR GYM. I WOULD WALK IN WITH ONE OF THE PLAYERS AND CARRY THEIR BAG. I'M SURE THEY KNEW I WAS'NT WITH THE TEAM BUT THEY NEVER STOPPED ME. THIS WAS IN THE 1930'S AND THINGS WERE PRETTY BAD.THE PLACE SURE LOOKS THE SAME TODAY AS IT DID 80 YEARS AGO. REGARDS.

Franklin School still looks great I so agree. The Gym was very large for a school of this size and doubled as the lunchroom. Sneaking into the gym to watch games just shows the Burg style was there in your day as mine :)))
