HI MAC....I WONDER IF MARY WAS RELATED TO THE AMODIO'S ON THE CORNER OF BUTLER AND SO. CLINTON AVES. AS YOUNG MEN WE SPENT A LOT OF TIME WITH THE AMODIO GIRLS AND THEIR MOM ON THAT CORNER. ALICE WAS A GOOD FRIEND AND MY FRIEND FRANK PAGLIARO WAS FRIENDLY WITH VIRGINIA. THIS WAS IN THE 1930'S AND IT ONLY SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY. BEST REGARDS.

Hi Ralph:)
This store is really only 1 block from the Burg...Chambers & Liberty are right there, this is the first street past the gas station off of Chambers..I would think there is a good chance these folks are related as so many folks with the same Italian last were related in the Burg area and those families often had similar businesses between them..like the Tammaros, The DeLorenzos, The Praticos, etc:)

This looks alot to me like Anne's corner deli, oh the smells in there! My mom used to send me there for hard salami. All the kids stopped in on there way home from school (Homedell Elemetary) for a snack. The good 'ole days!
