First I got our water in 15 gallon carboys that I was lucky enough to get from work.

I later discovered "little" Saint Mike's on Brunswick Avenue had a well but they only left the hose on after dark so there was no mob scene.

Being conveniently located across from Shorty's tavern, one could hoist a few cold ones and then head over after the Yankee game.

One of the things this crisis did was defuse the old argument.

There was no "Lid Up vs Lid Down"

The lid was D-O-W-N
