Summer Storms and Franklin Park
Summer Storms and Franklin Park
A note about summer storms and Franklin Park. A typical
summer storm gave you time to get home before the
downpour at Franklin as it was only 3 blocks from the
house. First the sky clouded up then it got more breezy
...at this time you could get home easy most of the
time..then it got REAL CALM.. when it got real calm
you in for it. unless you ran REAL FAST back home...
because the stage after real calm was STORM UNLEASHED
..which did often cool us down and drop the humidiity
and clean the air..but you were soaked LOL

Mack: The corner of Revere and Morris always flooded during heavy rain, lucky we did not receive a lot of water in the basement, but it was a pain.
Hi JoeZ:)
Sounds like there may have been a problem with the gutters taking the water in there.
As kids we always knew a place to hole up and stay dry. A friendly porch perhaps and hope "they" were at work.
