Morris Avenue on a Sunny Day in Summer, The Burg

Morris Avenue on a Sunny Day in Summer, The Burg
This was around where I had my first Trentonian
Paper Route way back in the middle 1970s.
This picture was taken from the corner of Anderson
Street and Morris Avenue.

Hey Mack, nice pic. There use to be an alley behind the houses from Roebling to Morris ave. I remember Chic the barber had a small shop just before the alley on Anderson st. The Burg was great for having alleys. Kids today would wonder what the heck we are talking about. That particular alley also connected with another one that ran along side the Acme which I always used from Roebling ave to go to Joe Latini's Deli as a young boy.
Best regards

Hi Vince. I remember when many of the alleys were gravel before they paved them::)
I have been in that alley near
Latinis:)
Our big 2 alleys were McCabe alley
which took us to Franklin Park and Miami Alley which of course you know as it passed the Casino along the way to and from Trenton High in my Trenton High days:)
