I see I'm not the only one with memories of those steak
sandwiches!! It was in the 50's when I lived on Emory
Avenue that my mother would crave one. I remember
driving over with my dad to pick it up. I also remember
the roll being the size of the Italian loaf from
Peoples Bakery!

Yes, Guys I remember the sandwiches and the steaks
grill in the open, Tommy was a great friend. Do you
remember it was not unsual to have to park 4 or 5
blocks away on the weekends because it was so busy.
Then wait in line when you got there.

HI MAC....I SEE MANY FACES IN THAT PHOTO THAT ARE
FAMILAR. OF COURSE TOMMY HAD MANY FRIENDS AND SOME
LOOK LIKE THE TOMASULO'S. I GO BACK A LONG WAY WITH
THE HUDSON, AND IN THE 1930'S WE KNEW THE FAMILY VERY
WELL. EVEN THOUGH WE MOVED FROM MOTT STREET I HAD
MANY OPPORTUNITES TO WORK THE BURG WHILE DELIVERING
MAIL AND VISITING FRIENDS THROUGHOUT CHAMBERSBURG.
