O.K. MAC..HERE ARE THHE FACTS ON MY BROTHER. BORN IN 1932
ON BERT AVENUE IN VILLA PARK. HE WAS VERY ACTIVE IN SPORTS
IN HIGH SCHOOL (TRENTON HIGH), CITY LEAGUES AND PLAYED
WITH THE TRENTON SCHROTHS IN 1948 WHEN THEY WON THE
AMERICAN LEGION WORLD SERIES AT INDIANAPOLIS.HE PLAYED
BASEBALL AT WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY IN NORTH CAROLINA AND
THE NEW YORK YANKEES SPONSORED HIM IN A COLLEGE LEAGUE.
HE LEARNED TO PLAY BASS FIDDLE AND WORKED TO HELP PAY
EXPENSES AT SCHOOL.THEN HE WAS INVOLVED IN BAD ACCIDENT
WHILE HOME FROM SCHOOL AND HAD TO GIVE UP BASEBALL AND
APPLIED FOR MEDICAL SCHOOL. WITH THE HELP OF SOME LOANS,
HE WAS ACCEPTED AT JEFFERSON MEDICAL COLLEGE AND
GRADUATED IN 1955.HE THEN SPENT 2 YEARS IN THE UNITED
STATES AIR FORCE AS A FLIGHT SURGEON AND THEN HE
INTERNED AT SAINT FRANCIS HOSPITAL. HE THEN OPENED AN
OFFICE ON CHAMBERS STREET IN THE BURG ACROSS FROM
SAINT FRANCIS HOSPITAL IN THE 1970'S AND BUILT UP A
BIG PRACTICE IN CHAMBERSBURG. HE CAME DOWN WITH
CANCER IN 1987 AND PASSED AWAY IN 1988 AT 56 YEARS
OF AGE. MAY GOD BLESS HIM AND MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

Thank You so much for this Ralph. It is sad that
your brother only got 56 years on this earth but
on the other hand it looks like he had a lot of
fun growing up in the Burg area and playing
sports and was successful in college and in
medicine. We celebrate Doctor Joseph (Chuck)
Lucarella today:)

HI MAC....THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR TRIBUTE TO "CHUCK" TODAY. HE HAD A SHORT BUT VERY FRUITFUL LIFE WHILE HE WAS HERE. HE WAS VERY CARING AND CONCERNED ABOUT ALL HIS PATIENTS AND OVERCAME MANY PEOBLEMS DURING HIS TIME IN PRE MED. HE WAS OUTSTANDING IN SPORTS AND HAD MANY FRIENDS THROUGHOUT HIS SHORT TIME WITH US. GOD BLESS HIM AND MAY HE REST IN PEACE.
