How many kids used to put something in a pile of leaves? We had one fellow who used to swerve way over to destroy our "leaf fort" that was in a (private property), area of an alley at a neighbors garage. One of the kids rebuilt the fort with a galvanized can hidden. Honestly, it wasn't me but it was fitting.
Each year some kid would be hit while hiding in a leaf pile and I lost a cat to the town leaf vacuum.
