Fall Comes To Morris Avenue, Villa Park

Fall Comes To Morris Avenue, Villa Park
Yes Morris Avenue also went into Villa Park as well as
the Burg. A very pretty picture. Click it and fill your
screen with Morris Avenue in Villa Park. The House on
the left was once the home of our own JoeZ as this
picture was taken from the corner of Morris Avenue and
Revere Avenue:)

Nice shot Mack, the old homestead looks pretty much the same. The blue house in back of ours once belonged to Jack Pone he was a musician and taught piano from the house. Directly across from our house with the tan wooden fence belonged to Mike and Lena Balner they were like second parents to Rosemary and such good friends, the white house in back of theirs belonged to Carmen Nitti, basketball coach at St. Anthony's at the time. I remember walking down Morris and on the left was Wetzel's Field. Thanks once again. With your permission I want to copy the picture and show it on my site.

HI MAC AND JOE...BACK IN THE 1930'S AND 40'S THIS ALSO WAS MY NECK OF THE WOODS. I HAD MANY FRIENDS ON REVERE AVE LIKE FRANK PAGLIARO, FELIX FORCONI, THE DELAMARGIO FAMILY, EDDIE MOUNT AND THE KELTY'S. WE LIVED ON BERT AT THE TIME BUT HAD MANY BUDDIES ON COMMONWEALTH AND COLUMBUS AVES. WE ALL HAD A LONG WALK TO JUNIOR 4 BUT A SHORT ONE TO TRENTON HIGH. ONE OF MY FRIENDS, LARRY LAURENTI, ENDED UP OWNING SEVERAL SHOP-RITE SUPER MARKETS AND WAS AN UNCLE TO JEFF LAURENTI WHO WAS AN IMPORTANT FIGURE IN THE UNITED NATIONS. IT WAS A HAPPY TIME DURING MY EALY YEARS. BEST REGARDS.

Ralph and Mack: Felix lived two doors down, not a nicer guy to have as a neighbor, I remember him always puttin around and he always filled my son's bikes with air.
