Fall Comes To Emory Avenue, The Burg

Fall Comes To Emory Avenue, The Burg
You can see the fall foliage and the homes of the 500 block
of Emory Avenue which were very nice 3 story Townhouses.
Once upon a time Roebling School was across from them, then
in my Burg day the Acme Supermarket was across from them
before it became a government office of some kind.
God Bless The Old Burg:)

HI MAC...AS LONG AS WE LIVED IN THAT SECTION I NEVER SAW ANYONE BURIED IN THAT CEMETARY. THEY ALL SEEMED TO HAVE BEEN INTERNED SOME TIME AGO. THAT CORNER HAS CHANGED OCCUPANTS MANY TIMES DURING THAT TIME. BEST REGARDS.

What I miss the most this time of year was the aroma of burning leaves. We had a small yard but a huge tree and we would put them into a tar can I got from Barret Paving. No, I burned off the tar first.

Ralph, that cemetery was so popular in it's day that they had they had to put a fence around it. People were dying to get in.

My Dad said that every time.
