Papa's Tomato Pie, Chambers Street, The Burg

far from Wetzel Field. Papas is the oldest continuously run
Pizza Place in the United States. What a GREAT aroma you can
sense as you walk by the place:)

....TO ME PAPA'S WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED AS BEING THE FIRST AND BEST MAKER OF TOMATOE PIES ON BUTLER STREET AND SELLING WHAT WE NOW CALL PIZZA, AND A LARGE ONE AT THAT, FOR THE LARGE SUM OF 25 CENTS IN THE 1930'S AND PROABLY IN THE 1920'S. GOD BLESS THEM ALL. AMEN.
