Once Bartolini's, Chambers Street, The Burg

Once Bartolini's, Chambers Street, The Burg

This was not far from Wetzel Field and watching or playing
a game could make you thirsty, so its location was quite
handy. Might they have served booze during prohibition?
I dont know, but I'd like to think they did:)

......AS I RECALL, I THINK YOU COULD GET A SHOT AND A BEER FOR 15 CENTS. THAT WAS IN THE 30'S AND BEING CLOSE TO WETZEL FIELD WAS A BIG FACTOR,

Bartolin's is closed? What is it now?
My neighbor and I use to go down there for some shots and beers in the summer when I lived on Revere.

Mack,

Seeing this photo of Bartolini's reminds me that within the confines of Villa Park (Chambers to Olden between Hamilton and Liberty) the only bar doing business that I can recall was/is Rittman's at the corner of Olden and Hamilton. There were several on Chambers but they were all located in the 'Burg and another was near the corner of Liberty and Olden but it was in Hamilton Township.

Hi Ralph Joe & Stephen:)

15 cents for a shot and a beer!
I am SO there LOL !!

Bartolini's is still a running business I think it has a sports
bar name now and different owners.
I see plenty of folks walking into it so they might be doing OK.

Agree Villa Park doesnt have Bars
as it was much more laidback residential. Some of it had parking chaos like the Burg due to St Francis. I think it also had some bars on Liberty Street and
Hamilton Avenue but only a few.
