Cigar Factory Girls , 1930s, South Trenton

Cigar Factory Girls , 1930s, South Trenton
You can be reasonably certain that some of these girls
were from the Burg as well as South Trenton.
Thank you for this great picture Marge Miccio:)

HI MAC; I DON'T BELIEVE THOSE GIRLS WORKED AT THE DIVISION ST. CIGAR FACTORY, WHERE THEY ALL WORE BLUE SMOCKS THAT SMELLED LIKE TOBACCO. I RECALL MY MOTHER AND OTHERS COMING HOME FROM A BLOCK AWAY. FOR THE GIRLS IN SOUTH TRENTON AND CHAMBERSBURG IN THE 30'S IT WAS THE DOLL FACTORY AND THE TWO CIGAR FACTORIES THAT KEPT THEM WORKING. BEST REGARDS.

Hi Ralph:)
The girls in this picture worked in
a Cigar factory that was once located where the A&P was on Beatty Street:)

I thought the cigar factory was on Virginia and Grand? I lived acrodd the street on Virginia for 30 years. Also thought the doll factory was on corner of Grand? I remember finding doll pieces as a kid walking home from school or when sneaking in to the bldg. lol

There was more than one cigar
factory in the area in the 1930s.

Wow - I actually think I see a relative in the front row. I love old pictures. Angela Debronzo-Zigrandn (angie0923@hotmail.com)
