The Burg Area in 1984
In 1984 you might go get some fresh produce over at Pete
Giquinto's at 959 Liberty Street. You might go shopping
at Marrazzo's on 1091 South Broad Street next to the
Harley Davidson place. You might also shop at Campi's
on 634 Whittaker Avenue. J&N Deli was at 3 Dayton Street
near Junior Four. Royalcrest Meats was at 610 Roebling
Avenue. Some local pubs included The Last Chance Saloon
on 511 Lalor Street, JC's Pub on 1280 Hamilton Avenue,
Smitty's "Kicks" on 1855 Greenwood Avenue and The Red
Carpet Lounge at 647 Cass Street (With Live Country
Music). A side note,2 Guys in Bordentown was Jefferson
Ward.

Mack, one can never forget shopping at Tracy's on Hamilton, it was just like shopping at Willets on Brunswick Ave. in North Trenton.

I came across an item in my records that stated your Dad was
at 500 Liberty Street as a Dr
in the 1940s. Thats the cool big
house across from what was once
Prior's Bakery and is 3 blocks
from where our Burg house was:)
That was before I was born. He would always talk about living and having his office there, when we drove down Liberty toward Broad. Those were Thursday nights on our way to Pat's Diner for dinner. We always went out for dinner on Thursday night. his day off. No evening office hrs. We also frequented Pete's Steak House on Chambers. The Blackstone on So Broad was another frequent place as well as the Parfait House on Rt 33. When we went out, we were regulars every week at a particular restaurant of choice.
