A Perfect Spring Afternoon on Franklin Street, The Burg
This is the first block of Franklin Street and was taken
from where Franklin Street meets Hamilton Avenue.
God Bless The Ole Burg:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Hi Mac: I was just thinking about all the streets we lived on in the Burg, starting with Mott St. There was Franklin, Washington, Emory, Chestnut, Genesee, Howell and William. Then there was Connecuit, Morrisville and Mercerville. That was from 1919 till we moved. So, you can see I've had it with moving around. I,ve traveled all over, been in World War II and worked at many things including our own business. I now spend my time on this computer and taking care of the house and lawn along with my son. Best Regards to all.
.....I left out Bert Ave. in Villa Park. They were proably the best years, without a care.
Hi Ralph:)
I was just on Bert Avenue a few
days ago, it was a beautiful
spring day. My Burg area radar
as always noted the homes in Villa
Park were typically just a bit bigger and far fewer used for commercial than in the Burg:)
Ralph and Mack, we loved living in Villa Park on Revere Ave., close to everything.
Hi JoeZ:)
When I hit the multi-state lottery
and buy back the Burg, I must buy back Villa Park and Franklin Park too:))
