My Dad Ed MacNicoll's Real Estate Ad From 30 Years Ago in 1980

My Dad Ed MacNicoll's Real Estate Ad From 30 Years Ago in
1980. My Dad had an office at our home at 824 Liberty
Street at this time I think. For many years Dad had the
Appraisal Office where me and my brother Dave and Mom
Julianne worked for many years on 1095 South Broad Street.
Look at the home prices in the ad:)

Hi Mack: It's just amazing how the prices of real estate in Trenton have changed throughout the centries. Your dad is certainly aware of that, being in that business. In 1926 my dad bought a brand new house on Bert Ave. for $4,000. In 1937 he bought one for $1,700. My first house was in Morrisville for $11,000 in 1946. I built a brand new house on Edinburg Road in 1955 for $17,000 on a big corner lot. I think the prices of real estate are one reason we are in the deep trouble today. We are getting close to the bad depression we were in during the 1930s. We old timers know what that was like. Your dad, Tom Glover and many others remember those days. I'm sure things will get better and every one will be happy again. Best Regards.
