This was J & L Cap and Hat in the 1950s as well as
in my Burg day and I remember me and a bunch of friends
going here in the late 1970s on a hat buying trek:)

Stanley Stepien was the proprietor of J & L Caps and Hats back in the 60s and 70s. Stan was a Navy Vet and a dear friend of the family. He married Dorothy Pone, the daughter of Pat and Mary E. Pone.
Stan was a big fan of local basketball, particularly a player called "Yitzy" Kreml, and the name "Yitz" stuck with him for life, at least from my Dad.
I really miss the family as we go back several generations.
