Washington Street in Winter, The Burg
This was taken from the corner of Emory Avenue and
Washington Street. This was taken a few days ago:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Hiyah Mack: I'm gonna bet Washington St. don't look like that today. You all must be snowed under from what I hear from the weather people. It reminds me of the snow storms when we were kids. We shoveled snow from sidewalks for a quarter and ended up with about two bucks. That was a lot of money in those days. We got out our Flexable Flyer sleds and hooked rides on back bumpers of cars. We took crazy chances and were lucky most of the times. That was some Super Bowl game yesterday, huh. Best regards.
Hi Ralph:)
The superbowl was fun yesterday
;)
The Burg area has become the
YUKON this winter LOL :)))
We might get another foot of snow
starting tomorrow night..
I loved hitching the back of cars
which is dangerous..but thats why
we did it LMAO:))
