City of Trenton Signs

City of Trenton Signs
These Green Welcome to the City of Trenton Signs have been
around for as long as I remember. I wonder when they were
first put up.

there are a lot of "trail of history" (or something like that) signs around the trenton / mercer county area.

they were put up around 1974 through 1976 or so to celebrate the bicentennial.

i graduated from sacred heart in 1976. we did a LOT of colonial / patriotic based projects that school year!

how many bicentennial quarters do you have?

i still have a several 1976 $2 bills that were issued that year. they are still in circulation. you can get them from your bank. they usually have some on hand. use them at the fast food drive through an frak out the young kids working there. they won't know what to do. if the manager is young, he will think that the bill is a fake!!!

What about The All American City? I live out here in California and Placentia CA is one of the All American cities. They still have the signs up around town and on a water tower. I remember Trenton having the distinction back in the day.
