Mack: It seems I remember a drug store on that corner in the 30 and 40s. When I think about it, the Burg had many drug stores throughout the area. I could recall Salvatore's, Piscopo's, one at Hamilton and Anderson, Chambers and Roebling and Quinton and Hamilton. There were also many more in the Township. At one time the Burg was also loaded with A&Ps, American Stores and Mom and Pop's groceries.

Ralph, That was Lanza's Drug Store
on the corner of Chestnut & Hamilton. Edmund J Lanza was the owner and his daughter Lorraine was also a pharmacist. She worked for me at Olden Pharmacy in Hamilton for many years after her dad closed their pharmacy.

Thank you Carlo, I remember Lanza's very well now. I was living right down the street on Chestnut in an apt above a garage at the time. I also remember your Olden Pharmacy. Happy New Year to you and your family
