Trenton High, The Burg.
This is in front of the "C" Building (if it is still called
that). This is the corner of Hamilton Avenue and Chambers
Street. Hamilton Sweet Shop and the Bank and St Francis Hospital
could be seen easily from here. Many Burg kids hung out on this
interesting bit of architecture in my Burg day..before and after
...and sometimes during the school day:)

The part of the building jutting out on the right side of this alcove was where the Briggs branch of the Trenton Free Library was located in the 1950's and 1960's. I used to frequent it alot. It may have also served as the library for THS. I believe the Briggs branch was relocated after my library visiting days were over.
My mother insisted I participate in Briggs Branch summer program every year up through about 8th grade. It was a great majestic place and did serve as THS library in later years.
