804 Chambers Street, The Burg

804 Chambers Street, The Burg.
Papa's Tomato Pies. A Burg Legend founded in 1914.
This is a new picture of this taken a few days ago in
the Burg. The Aroma of delicious food seems to extend
like 15 feet from the front door. Marvelous:)

There was a restaurant/bar caddycorner to this pizza place, owned by Jimmy ????. Does anyone remember the name? This was in the 50's & 60's. His son became a dentist with an office on Greenwood across from THS.

That was the Botal Inn owned by Huck and Lucy Costner, not real sure of last name. I worked there with a trio on Friday and Saturday nights while still in high school. That may explain while I was not fully functioning on Saturday when we had do the marching band thing.

my paper route in the early sixties was the afternoon trenton times. my route went from hamilton avenue to liberty street. my last stop daily was papas. on friday i delivered my final paper at papas and instead of a tip i was given a small pie and a coke..my family spent many an evening ordering a pie or a cheese steak to be delivered to our house with a small tip for the driver..storky's gas station was directly across the street..i think next store as a flower shop and around the corner on roebling was a shoe repair shop..

Storky's is correct.
Smokey's was a few blocks down.
Closer to Wetzel Field.
Before there was a flower shop the was a pharmacy.
What about Paul's across the street.
