The Railroad Bridge/South Trenton

When Burg folks took Rt29 they would pass by this Railroad Bridge.
The bridge always looked old but also looked strong and well built.
My Grandfather worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and never
owned a car. He didnt need one, he could walk to work and
most everything else you needed was within walking distance.
Remember when the Clinton Avenue bridge off the circle road
surface was wood planks? They would have to replace them over
and over again til finally one day they reenforced the bridge and
laid an asphalt surface.
The pictured Railroad Bridge was completed in 1903 by
Charles A Sims Company at a cost of $3,5,000,000 and
according to a NY Times article took 20 minutes off the train
ride from Philly. The Philly-Trenton train AKA the R7 :)

I think we could walk out onto the rocks at low tide from here.
