Attached is a photo from our old family album. It is grouped with some other photos from the 1948 time period and the only annotation is a developed date of August 1948 stamped on the back. Until today I always thought the men in the top picture were playing quoits along side the Immaculate Conception School in front of the rectory. Your photo today of the school reminded me of the photo. It is only now that I realized that the men were actually playing directly behind the sacristy of the church on what is now an asphalt parking lot. The photo of the rear of the church you posted on April 28, 2009 has a similar vantage point. I do not recognize any of the men playing quoits. The bottom photo was from the same roll of film and may have been later that same evening as the game of quoits. I have no idea. I do recognize my dad in the second photo. (He's sitting in front on the right.) It is possible that some of your readers recognize some of the men in the photos as the odds are that they were men of the 'Burg or nearby neighborhoods. They may have been ushers from the church or members of Immaculate's Holy Name Society. Who knows?

Most of the men in this picture were War World II vets. My dad had a lot of friends that played on this field. We lived until 1946 near Trenton High Scholl, then my dad went to work for the Lep Rodgers Home and we moved off Pennington Road.....Funny...hmmm That's when I found out that we were poor....Ha! Ha!
Every Kid in the burg had a great life... I loved growing up there, Doctors came to the house, Milkman and bread man came to the house to and how about that Ice man...
