Horan's was the first place NOT on my street (Tyler St) that I was allowed to walk to ALONE as a little girl. I remember being sent to pick up a prescription for one of my younger siblings; I was probably 8 or 9 and felt so grown up!
The place looks much altered. This was once an old fashioned apothecary, where they would mix the potions on the spot. I remember the big glass jars in the store, and the medicine smell.
