1200 Hamilton Avenue, Villa Park/Hamilton.
Once upon a time this was The M.A.B. Paint Store
according to my records:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Hey Mack:
FYI: I remember this corner well. When I was a boy, it was Schnur's 5 and 10 department store, sort of "catty corner" to Tracy's 5 and 10. Mr. Schnur sold "cancellation" shoes at a steep discount for those of us whose family couldn't afford Thom McAnn shoes. More recently it was Cook's Hardware, and when Cookie and his wife seperated, his wife closed the hardware store and went into the business of glass windows. Excellent photo. I hope that Dunkin Donut shop is a success. That area needs a lift.

Hi Tom:)
I see this building was owned
by Aaron Schnur in 1920 when it
was listed as a candy store.
Aaron Schnur not a common name
so I think I have the right Social Security Data.. He was born May 8 1888 and died in November of 1968.
I think a donut shop is a good use for that place as a ton of folks walk by it:)
