This was it, for sure!

We used to walk down Davis Street from Chestnut to a fenced-in storage yard on the right.

If we were lucky, there was a guy who was loading trucks, and he would give us a freshly bottled warm Coke for us to drink on the way home. After a while, we knew prolly thirty ways of taking the cap off without an opener.

Wasn't there a narrow alleyway between houses that took you back onto Swan Street? There certainly was ice to be had in the old ice house.

A house key could open a coke bottle cap as I recall:)

The front of the building appears to be bricked over. In 1960, there were large windows where you could see the bottles going by on the belt as they were filled.

if you went down the alley and turned left, you would be in fabian's gulf gas station lot on the corner of swan and whittaker. the ice house was on the opposite corner. agibiti's construction was on swan st.
