Jingles or Ad Songs I remember
from back in the day:
"The home of Happy Auto Parts
where saving money starts at
Jimmies Used Auto Parts"-often
played on radio during phillies
games.
"If you've got a passion for fashion and you've got a craving for saving, take the wheel of your automobile and swing on down to
Ideal"
"Everybody goes to Gino's cause
Gino's is the place to go"
"Crazy Eddie his prices are insane"
"If you didnt buy your suit from
Krass Brothers you got creamed!"
(gets pie in the face)
For Todays Ads I must admit I
am entertained by hucksters so
I must vote for Shamwow Vince
and Billy Mays...
"The Shredder-Clock!!! Its
Shreds cheese and tells time,
no home should be without one!!
Call Now!!" :)
This post was inspired by a post on JoeZ's Blog

Mack, Glad I could inspire. I don't remember too many jingles from Trenton or Philly TV and radio. I'll have to quick start the grey matter.
I remember one "Shaffer is the one beer to have when your having more than one".
When its time to relax
One beer stands clear
if you've got the time
We've got the beer
Miller Beer :)
Very good Joe I remember the
tune to that too:)
Champale Malt Liquor
...like nothing else you ever tasted (except champagne!)
OK, so I spent a whole lot of time in bars!!!
Schlitz...the beer that made Milwaukee famous!
Champale...live a little on a little!
GBS Time original:
What's the word?..Thunderbird
What's the price?...30 twice
What's on the label?..Drink if your able
My beer is Rheingold the dry beer!
Iron City beer...even sounds like a man's beer!
Pabst Blue Ribbon...thirty-three fine brews blended into one great beer!
Old man Schlitz married the devorsed mother of a friend of mine. Gave the kid (23 yrs old) a 30 ft. sailboat for his birthday. Where did I go wrong?
Bob Reck
Bob,
Word is that you got the milk truck...
This ad ran for a few years, directly related to Trenton.
Three great men were born in February, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Nat Adlestein of U.S. Motors. Nat had a huge used car lot on Calhoun St. ( next to the old Giant Tiger market). He also sold English Fords for a few years. He ran both radio and print ads. I think on WBUD or possibly WTTM.
