This hardware store had a radio tube tester which I frequently used in my "radio repair" business, while at Jr 4.
Note how many radio and TV repair stores were in the neighborhood!
I notice that with shoe repair
as well. I think back in the day
it was cheaper to fix things then
just going and buying a new one.
