A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

SJBill...better than No Hanover, we're expecting 10-12", and no buses to hooked onto to drag us down So Broad St...bummer!
C'mon stop whinning....we are looking at a normal dusting of about 15" way up here in little old NH :):) Just got off the phone with my brother Lou in Ewing...woke him up...told him to get out there and move his ass shoveling...of course he said, "&^&*%$%& you"...I just laughed and hung-up.
Back to Maruca's on the boards...whenever I played at the Chatterbox a/k/a the Box or the Beachcomber....we would always hop over to Maruca's for a piece of tomatoe pie...maybe sometimes a Philly cheese steak wit'....or
"I peperoni e le cipolle della salsiccia su una torpedine rotolano" Italian sausage with peppers and onions on a torpedo roll!! My mouth is watering. There is an entry on Facebook for Seaside Heights Boardwalk..check it out.
My husband and I get bored in the winter months, so we take a ride to Seaside and get a slice of pie and go to Lucky Leo's and play the video poker machines. They're opened all year 'round. Cheaper than AC.
Sax...you tough Yankees can put up with 15" of snow, we more fragile types, just above the Mason Dixon line hate, did I say HATE, snow.
Although I have been up here in WASP New England for 25+ years, believe me, I ain't no Yankee! Once a Jersey guy, always a Jersey guy...and a Trenton-'Burg one at that. I shall return.....
See that more tomato pie talk, making my mouth water. See snow, don't miss it at all. Keep warm Y'ALL
Do any of you remember Maruca's on S. Olden Ave? The best pies!!!
