Barbero's Bakery Icon

The Barberos's Bakery Icon.
Barberos Bakery 61 Conrad Street, The Burg.
The corner of Anderson Street and Conrad Street.
I loved their Donuts.
This was a place I passed by thousands of times
long ago as a Trenton High kid.
No pictures of the place yet but I will get one
in time:)

Barbero's Bakery is a national treasure. Not just the donuts. It's the hard rolls. We used to watch the bakers knife off wads of dough from a huge mound to make the rolls for baking. The aroma from the bakery making bread went over the whole neighborhood. I still have this wonderful scent memory, forty years away.

It's the bread, the rolls, the cookies, and especially the CANNOLIS!!!!! Now I'm stuck in Indanapolis where no one knows how to make good bread, and most don't have a clue about cannolis!!!!! I'm hoping they'll SHIP!!!!!! Miss Jersey SO MUCH!!!
