Another View of Junior Four, South Trenton
Another View of Junior Four, South Trenton.
We never entered the school from the central doors shown
here. Instead we came through the side door on the left.
The bell ringing meant stop yapping, grab your books and
perhaps put out that cigarette...and don't trip while
looking at the girls while walking in.
What a fine school this was for many years:)

Does anybody care to nominate their favorite Junior Four faculry mnembers, and why? ;-)
I have my yearbooks and can supply a list of teachers, should MAck care to write.
"We'll really round you and fight to win the fray!"
Better yet post any Jr4 teachers
names from your Era you care to mention. I have done this for my
70s era:)
Principal Sam Cortina, Mr Ong,
Mr Trout, Mrs Ronca, Ms Rossein,
Mr Bloomingdale, Mr Zelley, Mr Wah,
Mr Smith, Mr Lewis, Mr Chiarello,
Mrs Fink, Ms Norcross, Mr Bellina,
Mr Zoda, Mr Buttich.
Those are just a few names off the top of my head:)
Also ..you went to A11 if you bad
(Mr Jones & Mr Ronan).
Mr Krystific taught guidance.
Mrs Schafer & Mrs Fabe I remember
too. Mrs Mule was a guidance councilor:)
Joe Bellina taught Print Shop. He was great! I still remember his bookbinding lessons.
Mrs. Schaffer -- was she the handwriting Nazi failed a paper for margins or for a "wandering dot" of a letter I?
We had Mr. Ketterer if we made detention in room "A9." IIRC, he passed on the same day that Marilyn monroe did.
Metal Shop was taught by Mr. Tom Deptula, a rtired Air Force officer.
For 7th grade homeroom, I had the same teacher my Dad did -- Miss Emily Tomlinson.
For 8th grade homeroom, I had Mr. Brennan
For 9th grade, I believe it was Miss Mary Papp. She also taught my Dad.
Mr. Hirsch was science teacher -- taught me well.
Mr. Gale taught drafting and mechanical drawing.
Swimming: Mr. Frederic Staudenmayer was a staunch disciplinarian -- a legend with a rubber band!
Tony Copolla for gym class, with Mr. Donlon.
Music: Martha Sollenberger and Miss Henry.
7th grade English: Lottie Lee Dinkins -- she was the sister of Sr. David Dinkins, Mayor of NYC.
We had some great teachers. for sure.
I have made this into a new post about Jr4 Teachers:)
Good work SJ:)
mr. ross - mechanical drawing - excellent! how about those HUGE desks!!! and when he didn't feel like teaching he would show three stooges or marx brothers films....great class! i still know how to draw isometric perspectives too! i guess i did lean something in jr4.
mr bellina - print shop - great class!
mr chiarello's typing class - no letters on the keys - and that dang mother fletcher of his. he whacked my hand a few times with mother fletcher (pointer stick). i eventually learned to type.
