I remember walking to Horan's from our house on Tyler St as a young girl (we moved in 1967, so I must have been 8 or 9 yrs old at the time) to pick up prescriptions and stuff when my younger brothers and sisters were sick. Don't think you would send out your 8 yr old today with money in her pocket - especially the way the neighborhood has gone - but it was a very different time, and everyone knew everyone then.

I also remember going into Horan's back in the 1960s. An old fashioned pharmacy. You're right. Last thing anybody thought of was safety. Ed
