The old steam pipe or water thing still stands! Whoa! Amazing.

I think it connected the facilities of the plants on the Burg side from the main Roebling plant.

Do the old water towers still stand? Originally they were black with white lettering that read "John A. Roeblings and Sons". In the 60s, they were painted gray and with black lettering that said "CF&I", for Colorado Fuel and Iron. THe beginning of the end.

Then there was the big smoke stack. Wayyyy back int he day my Mom put her clothes out on the lines to dry, sometimes overnight. It was those specific nights that Roebling's smokestack belched soot to bespoil all our "fresh" laundered clothing. ;-)

I think The Thing Above The Road
is still there. They were serious
when they built stuff back in the day:)
