Lalor Gardens, Hamilton

Lalor Gardens, Hamilton.
Located on the Hamilton/South Trenton border.
If you were from the Burg there is a good chance
you knew some folks who lived here.
Located on Lalor Street near where Liberty Street
ends:)

Lived here a few years in the 1960's - 79-B Stenton Court, right next to the cemetary. Use to wait for the bus on Lalor & Liberty to get to work in town when my old '57 Plymouth wouldn't start...took the bus alot!

Also on Liberty & Lalor - actually a V where the two streets met - was a Greenwood Dairy milk machine.
I think the building was a car repair shop..
A musician friend, Mike Cannon, also lived at Lalor Gardens. We would join-up with Larry Steel and a couple of other guys and stand in the middle of the courtyard shown in the pic and sing/practice 5-part harmony...real doo-wop, real "street corner" music. Mike's wife Joan was a go-go girl at many of the Trenton clubs. Mike went on to play and tour with Bill Haley's Comets.

I see on some net sites Mike
Cannon joined Bill Haley in 67:)

5 Liberty Street was the
Lalor Amoco Station according to
my records.
