A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Remember New Hope well, the Beatty St. Boys, Lou (Saxman's Brother), Jack Walsh, Tom Lukowicz, Rich Zoladz and I use to ride up there at least one Saturday night a month. Just walk around and check out the sites. Back in the 70's there was a neat restaurant called the Itimate Tom Moore's, great place to take a date to impress.
Pam Mintford's Hacienda House, Toe-Path Inn, Canal House, Jon Sheets Bucks Co Playhouse and for Joe Z, the intimate...lingerie store. I remember them all.
Barb, after all these years I was hoping for a combined lingerie and tomato pie place.
Barb: The last comment from Anon is me, please pass the Ginko and quick.
Played many gigs at Menagerie next to the Playhouse and some Sunday afternoon trio stuff at the Canal House as the donkey's pulled the barges down/up the Canal.
Joe Z.....better be careful on the "check out the sites" phrase..remember it was New Hope, but then again knowing my brother, it was surely "girl" sites!!
Sax: Your brother could spot the girls alright. Question are you still playing in any bands in NH.
Joe Z..you're just jealous, 'cause I eat tomato pie in my lingerie. That's because I'm ambidexterous.
Barb: Tomato Pie and Lingerie, can't touch that. That beats Tomato Pie and Speedo's.
Joe ...depends on whose wearin' the speedo!! Lets face it, too much tomato pie and you can't get it all into the speedo.
I also remember playing gigs at the Canal House. It was mainly jazz in those days, before the Bohemian, flower child crap.
