728 Anderson Street, The Burg.
The corner of Anderson & Rusling.
This was an apartment building around the corner
from our house:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Wasn't this place kitty-corner to Count Felix's place?
Any pics of the Count's old club?
Thank You SJ I will post that up:)
Thank you!
I have a Google ID -- SJBill -- and sometimes it works. Sorry if not showing it is a problem for you.

Thank You for the Suggestion
Bill. I actually had that place
in my pics and had not posted it
until you drew my attention to it:)
PS: Whatever name folks want to
comment under.. anon or whatever
is fine with me, I am just glad
folks notice the site...and
thanks for 7,300 hits everybody.
Mack...I posted the site on my Classmates 1961 message board under a topic on the 'Burg. Getting many notes that people love your site!!
Thank You Sax:)
Half of the value of this site
is the comments you folks make
and the stories you tell of places
and people of the ole Burg:)
This was a pizza parlor, when I was little. Don't remember the name of it, but my parents and I were sitting in there when Nixon gave the "checkers" speech.
Barb P: If there were tomato pie places in Trenton you knew about them. My kind of gal.
Joe Z...I'm still on the hunt for Tomato Pie. There was a great place in Wildwood, called Val's, he made "Trenton Style" tomato pie. Unfortunately they retired to Port St Lucie, Florida, never to make another pie. So sad! Still on the hunt tho. by the way...congrat's on the Blog, can't wait for the tome...hope it involves Polish Butchers, Bucket Nuns, Pagan Babies and Tomato Pie.
Barb P. - Thanks, Rosemary set it up she's got the knack. Keep the search going for those tomato pies. I've got the Burg and Tomato Pies covered in the book to come.
