Harry Levy was a dear friend of the family. As was Mrs. Evie Levy and their two very intelligent sons, Ivan and Bernie,

I bought gold hooks and sinkers every spring for the herring run. He had decent fishing tackle and sold it cheap.

I had a job there as a kid, but it didn't last long.

Advice: don't work for friends of the family. Stay friends, instead!

Used to go there for all kinds of fishing rod building materials. "Mr. Levy" was one of the friendliest merchants around and everything sold at a fair price. I remember all the wooden boxes where all the hardware was kept...and he knew where everything in the store was. Great place and a great guy!
