Mott school defined my "musical destiny"...while attending Roebling school I started playing the violin...took that on to Harrison school in the 5th and 6th grade. While in 6th our "orchestra" played a concert at Mott with ensemble. While walking in to the school a buch of guys and girls taunted us as "little sissy violin girls"...well, that did it..I proceeded to hit one of the boys with my violin case breaking the neck of my violin....got home that night and told my dad "no more violin"...went up to my room turned on the radio heard Honky Tonk and my eyes glistend...it was SAX for me. Thank you Mott school bullies!~!

Honky Tonk, Pt 1 -- Bill Doggett, the theme song to GBS Time. George Luthre Bannister, "If you don't spell it right, I'll send it back!"

This song is in my Top Ten of Life's Rock n Roll tunes.

Good choice, Saxman!

#1 all time? Mebbe "Giant Steps"

Ah yes, Part 1 & 2..George mostly used Pt 2 for his show..along with other greats like Sil Austin's Slow Walk...and Doggett's Rambunkshus.

Pt 2 is my #1..my wife Mary Ann has the "order"..it will blare-out at my wake!
