532 Hudson Street, The Burg

532 Hudson Street, The Burg.
This was Jimmies Camera Shop in my Burg day but
before that it was Pete & Bill's Grill (Owner
Pete Pulifici in the 1950s. In the 1960s it was
The Swan Tavern Cafe:)

Wasn't Jimmie's a cuppla doors to the left? That was a really small shop. My Dad and I bought a few cameras from Jimmie, back in the day. He was a really nice guy.

Not sure, but isn't this pic of the corner of Swan and Hudson?

Jimmie is the greeter at DeLorenzos on Hamilton. When you come in, he seats you. God Bless him, he looks wonderful, suit, tie, white shirt and a name tag, specially made for him. I always remember Jimmies on the corner with DeLorenzo's next door to the left, from my days going in with dad to have camera and binocular lenses cleaned.

And the Swan Cafe was a drop for those in the "numbers" game. Please don't ask me how I know that...

Jimmies camera shop was next door to DeLorenzo's Tomato Pies in the 60's as I recall.
