400 Hudson Street, The Burg
This was once the Italo-American Grocery Company
according to my records:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Is this the corner of Elmer and Hudson Sts.? If so, on the same side looking toward Hamilton was Mazzali and Battisti grocery store.
Hi Joe:)
Yes this is Hudson & Elmer.
I have a post of Mazzilli
Grocery Store on here.
(Its referred to in my records
as Mazzilli Grocery).

The post should come up:)
A little ways down the block toward Mott was a cobbler, Carl Spirito...my aunt millie spirito lived right next door to the shop, Carl was her brother. He lived on South Broad and I went to school with his daughter, Lucille. His son, Pasquale "Patty Boy" Spirito was gunned down in a gang-style hit in Philly. Unfortunately, his family found out about on TV news.
