Selling Flowers

I remember when stores around the Burg would sell
flowers for Easter and Mother's Day. I don't mean
flower stores, I mean Deli's. This began to increase
every year until it got out of control and they were
selling flowers for Ground Hogs Day. Since Easter
and Mother's Day are in the springtime we would often
have the smell of flowers coming thru the screen of
our door from Liberty Deli across the street from us.
The Fraqrent Burg back in the day!

Liberty Deli! I remember walking there from my grandmother's house on Rusling St. and buying her cigarettes and lottery tickets for her on a regular basis. This was in the early 80s -- I was in elementary school.
