Used to go in there trick or treating, the cops gave you little bags of pennies.

Used to go there when I got in trouble...cops gave you a lot of crap. Ah to be a teenage delinquent again...James Dean and Sal Mineo...you are missed!!

Never went into the building when I got in trouble. Just had to go there to pay all my speeding tickets.

We seemed to have have avoided
these good folks attention long
ago. our delinquent moments were
more laid back in the 70s..
heck we thought the drinking age
laws didnt apply to Trenton..
many folks sold us booze under-age
no problem.. we even joked about
one place that would sell a baby
in a stroller a case if he made it
through the door. I thank all
the folks that did this and the
Burg Code still applies here...
they will remain nameless :)

Ah bring back the good old days of black leather jackets, studded engineer boots - studded black leather belts, black turtlenecks and lots of hair hangin' down on the forehead...and a DA in the back. Four of us, Teddy Wood, Walt Szul, Adam Mazur and me, wore the above to school - Junior#4 - during our ninth grade year....we were all rounded up and sent home to change..they just didn't understand us!

We had to wear uniforms in Immaculate and St Anthonys, but we hiked them up above our knees, with those big black rubber bands..."that uniform is not regulation length, missy, "tease your hair, you tart", is that lip gloss I see, detention for a week". They didn't toss the girls, they made us sit in detention and feel like tramps. Pretty tame by todays standards.

OOHHH, loved those short skirts on all those Catholic girls! Especially partial to the green plaid ones those sweet Villa Victoria ladies wore...:)

Barb and Sax: Father Joe Z says shame on you both. Now cough up some dough for those Pagan Babies.

P.S. Loved the short skirts, Notre Dame was the same way.

Remember the Post Office a few doors down from the station? And across the street the Hungarian Import store..couple doors down from Helen's Tomatoe Pies...next block..leather goods sale/repair shop on corner..then Mellor's Music..Walt Mellor my sax teacher for years.

Sax, I remember the import store, wasn't Helen's Tomatoe Pies on Beatty across from Koslow's or was that a different pie place?

Remember them both....and both as Helen's...the one on Beatty & Tremont came much later.
