Hi Tom..What block of Emory? My girlfriends parents had the Emory Bar and Grill, Emory and Anderson. Her name was Marlene Pierro, she's in Florida now. It's Cesars Restaurant now.

Barbara P.,

You were friends with Marlene Pierro? OMG, she's my cousin. Her Father and my Dad were brothers. My Dad cooked at the bar when my uncle Mike owned it. He was such a good guy. Died too young. Haven't seen her in quit a few years or spoke to her. Do you know what happen to her sister Loretta? Use to see my cousin Mike, Jr. when I still lived in Trenton, but haven't seen him in a few years either. If I'm not mistaken, I think the bar was on Emory and Division? It was called Rossi's. Nick Rossi owned it and sold it to my uncle Mike. My Dad was a beer salesman for Hub City and Nick was one of his customers and they became really good friends. I think that's how my uncle knew Nick was thinking about selling it.

I'm Marlene Pierro's cousin. My sister is SC anonymous. My uncle
Mike Pierro bought Nick Rossi's Bar and Grill which was on Emory and Division. The Emory Cafe was on Emory and Washington and later was the River City Cafe.

Wow Rosanne...how cool is that... Marlene and I were girlfriends for many years. When she met Jimmy Bereski, we used to double date with his best friend John Cordwell. She married Jimmy 2weeks after we graduated High School, all us girlfriends were in her wedding party. They moved to Florida years ago and we wrote each other for years, but time passes and letters stopped. Last time I saw her was in DeLorenzo's on Hudson, walked in and there she was...they had to throw us out to make room for people that actually wanted to eat. We were in there for hours, catching up. She looked great and I'm sure she's still gorgeous. I haven't seen Loretta or Mike for years, since they lived in Groveville. Your right, Mike was a sweet man, I think he worked himself to death at a young age. Really small world. Oh..you are right, it was Division and Emory. Duh!
