Dr Hatrack was my dentist, I think my parents paid him by the word. He would be filling a tooth and stop to talk. Everytime he talked, he stopped working. All I wanted to do was get outta here. Sax..what was the Dr's name, right at the bend in Beatty, across from the Boys Club? My grandmom used to berate him for being drunk and he would deny it in Hungarian.

The doc was Joseph McCarthy, I was friends with his son, Joe and daughter Karen (who I had a mad crush on at 10 yrs of age!). Dr McCarthy had a yacht at the club down on Duck Island and he would take us up to Philly and back. They lived above his office. He had both a booze and a drug problem. He also had a great big Cadillac that his son Joe slammed the door on my hand one time. Doc Joe was a colorful man. 615 Beatty.

Thanks Sax...that was him. I remember my granny having a piece of glass in her foot. We must have told him the left foot 3 times, he kept working on the wrong foot. Very colorful.
