Oh boy oh boy. What a great site.
I recognize the store right away.
I was born on Park Ave.
There was a store like this one that the elderly man made his own
homemade Fresh Pork Roll. His son
sold it also at the Trenton Farmers Market. I wish I know if anyone in Trenton still sells it, or has the recipe. We know longer live in NJ, so sad, we live in Texas now, and they don't know great food.
Help, my husband and I would love to have a taste of the fresh pork roll again. Does any one remember it? Thanks a Bunch

Virginia: I live in Florida now, we pork roll at the Publix Grocery Store, don't know if you have them in Texas. You can google pork roll and there is a place that will ship it to you. There's listing here for it I think. Good Luck.

Thanks guys, once in awhile our son flys back to NJ, and picks up a couple and had a friend send us one. But do either of you know about FRESH Pork Roll?
The store was caddy corner of St. Anthonys Church, the family where Polish or Hungarian? And made what they called Fresh Pork Roll and they put it in their own material casing. When we left Trenton about 14 years ago, because of GM, the son was still selling it at the Trenton Farmers Market, It was only sold by this one family for their locals.
Thanks again for your help

I'm new to this site, I am not anonymous, I'm V Langone.
Villa Park was a very nice place to live years ago, are the stores on Hamilton Ave still there?

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. But sadly no more store on Hamilton...unless you count botanica's. Welcome to the Site, the more collective memories, the merrier.
